ESA's New Pollution Insurance Policy

This policy includes E&O and General Liability Coverages

ESA is proud to announce its new Pollution Liability Policy which covers the following Indoor Air Quality procedures: Mold, Radon, Microbials (bacteria, allergens), VOC's, and Phase 1 Site Assessment and consulting.

The General Liability coverage provides liability protection during Environmental Inspections.

The coverage will apply to all inspectors that are certified in each of the IAQ areas. Policy requires training and certification in each area of the IAQ policy as administered by ESA.  As you attain new certification you policy will automatically include that area of coverage.  For example, if you are only currently certified in Mold and Radon, you will be only covered for those 2.  As you attain additional certification in Bacteria, Phase 1 Site Assessment, etc. you policy will be updated to reflect the additional insured responsibilities.   If you are not ESA trained, you must submit completion documentation to ESA to verify knowledge base. This coverage has specifically been created for the Professional Members of ESA and is available in all 50 States and US Territories. ESA will be named the insured and ESA has endorsed this policy exclusively.

Coverage will also depend upon the implementation of all ESA protocols and forms applicable to IAQ procedures. Deviations from these established principles and procedures will jeopardize coverage.

The minimum premium is $3,000.00 which covers a single inspector or a group of certified inspectors within a company with up to $250,000.00 in Environmental receipts. Revenue in excess of $250,000.00 will be underwritten at additional dollars per thousand. There is an additional $130.00 charge to cover PA taxes and fees.

Policy Limits are $1,000,000.00 per incident with a $5,000.00 deductible. A premium payment schedule is available to spread the payments throughout the year. This insurance coverage is written by an A rated carrier.

You can reduce the GL deductible to zero by paying an additional $350.00 premium.
